Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital is marking National Physical Therapy Month by emphasizing the services available at its outpatient physical therapy clinic. The clinic, located on the hospital’s sixth floor, offers care for patients of all ages and abilities with a focus on lifelong recovery and wellness.

Jennifer Day, a physical therapist and licensed athletic trainer at Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital, stated, “At Aspirus Stevens Point, we believe physical therapy is more than recovery, it’s a lifelong investment in better health. Whether we’re helping a child reach developmental milestones or guiding someone back to independence after injury, our goal is to support every patient’s journey with expert care and compassion.”

The clinic provides specialized services in orthopedics, sports medicine, pediatrics, neurologic rehabilitation, vestibular therapy, and pelvic health. Each patient receives an individualized treatment plan designed for their specific needs—whether recovering from an injury or managing chronic conditions. The facility includes advanced equipment and space for therapeutic activities ranging from athletic movements to basic mobility exercises. Pediatric patients have access to sensory-based activities while those receiving neurological or pelvic health therapy benefit from biofeedback technology.

Physical therapy at Aspirus can help reduce pain and improve mobility. It may also prevent injuries or falls and could allow some patients to avoid surgery. Patients do not need a physician’s referral to begin physical therapy at Aspirus clinics. Services are available at several locations in the Stevens Point area including Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital, Aspirus Stevens Point Clinic on Hoover Road, and Aspirus Plover Clinic on Plover Road.

Aspirus physical therapists aim to provide high-quality care that helps children achieve developmental goals, supports athletes returning to activity, and assists older adults regaining independence through movement.
