FOIA Request to Town Of Fountain Prairie Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.

We at SC Wisconsin News have submitted a formal request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for records of new voter registrations that occurred on November 5, 2024. This request was made as part of our ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs.

As an organization dedicated to journalism and public service, we believe in the importance of transparency and accountability within our institutions. Access to public records such as these is crucial in fulfilling our professional responsibilities which include reporting factual information to the public and holding those in power accountable.

Given our role in disseminating information to the public, we have requested a fee waiver as a media professional. We await a response from the Town Of Fountain Prairie and will continue to strive for transparency and accuracy in all our reporting.
