FOIA Request to Village Of Kingston Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
SC Wisconsin News, a media organization committed to comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, has sent an official request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., to the Village of Kingston. The request was made for a list of new voters who registered to vote on November 5, 2024.
As part of our commitment to transparency and accountability in public institutions, we believe that access to these records is crucial. These records will enable us at SC Wisconsin News to fulfill our professional responsibilities effectively.
Given our role in gathering and disseminating information to the public, we have requested a fee waiver as a media professional. We eagerly await the response from the Village of Kingston and look forward to providing further updates as they become available.
