FOIA Request to Town Of Westfield Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and accountability in local government affairs, we at SC Wisconsin News have submitted a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for a list of new voters who registered on November 5, 2024.
Our mission as a media organization is to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage. Access to public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities which include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. Given our role in disseminating information, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as media professionals.
We look forward to the Town Of Westfield's cooperation in this matter and will continue our efforts to keep the public informed about their local government's activities.
