Two former congressmen will be sharing their experiences at a free community event at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point this month. The event, part of the Congress to Campus program, aims to provide an opportunity for open dialogue and civic education with former members of the U.S. Congress from both major political parties.
The forum will feature Peter Kostmayer, a Democrat from Pennsylvania, and John Faso, a Republican from New York. It is organized by UW-Stevens Point’s College of Letters and Science.
Scheduled for Monday, February 17, the event will take place from 6-8 p.m. in the Dreyfus University Center Laird Room at 1015 Reserve St., Stevens Point. Although admission is free, attendees are encouraged to register in advance to secure seating. Refreshments will be available.
The event receives support from several university entities including the Office of the Chancellor, Division of Student Affairs, UWSP College of Letters and Science, and the Menard Center for the Study of Institutions and Innovations. More details can be found on their website.
