WWSP 90FM, the student radio station at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, is set to host its annual trivia contest from April 11-13. This year marks the 55th edition of the event, themed "Trivia 55: NO LIMIT." The contest has been a tradition since 1970 and takes place at UW-Stevens Point's Communication Arts Center.

Dave Coulthurst, the trivia coordinator for WWSP 90FM, described this year's theme as "a look back at how the past envisioned the future," featuring visuals that evoke nostalgia for imagined futures. Registration costs $40 per team, with proceeds supporting radio station maintenance and scholarships for student volunteers and staff. Merchandise related to the trivia theme will be available both during registration and online.

The event will begin with a film screening on April 4 and 5 at Rogers Cinema in Stevens Point. Doors open at 9:30 p.m., with admission priced at $3. A parade of teams will occur on April 11 before questions commence at 6 p.m., continuing until midnight on April 13.

Throughout the weekend, eight questions will be broadcast each hour. Teams have two songs' worth of time to respond correctly via phone calls to score points. Additional challenges include community-based questions and scavenger-hunt-style tasks. Successful teams can earn trophies and bragging rights.

Participants from various backgrounds come together for this event, which blends competition with social interaction among family and friends while answering unique questions.

WWSP is recognized as one of the largest student-run radio stations in the Midwest and has been acknowledged by the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association as one of the state's top student broadcasting organizations.
