The Board of Directors at ODC has announced Erin Smith as the incoming CEO, effective May 5, 2025. Erin takes over from Julie Strenn, who will depart the organization in May after five years of service.

“The board was in unanimous agreement that Erin is the perfect fit to be ODC’s next CEO,” said Pat Gall, ODC Board of Directors Chairperson. “Erin brings vast experience and connections in the industry as well as strong leadership skills. This will support the continued success of ODC into the future.”

With a strong background in managing home and community-based services, Erin previously managed an independent consulting business and led the Disability Service Provider Network in Wisconsin. Her work there included advocating for long-term care system transformation and strengthening provider networks. Her career highlights include roles in care management, senior leadership positions in provider network operations, contract negotiations, project management, and transforming long-term care systems.

Erin is known for her collaborative relationships across Wisconsin’s long-term care industry and is looking forward to building similar connections with ODC staff and participants.

On a personal level, Erin enjoys spending time with her family and cheering for her son at his sports events. She also values time outdoors with friends and her two dogs.

Her leadership is expected to guide ODC successfully into the future. In recognition of Julie Strenn’s contribution and to welcome Erin Smith, meet and greet events are scheduled at ODC locations in Wisconsin Rapids, Marshfield, and Stevens Point.

Opportunity Development Centers, Inc. (ODC) is a non-profit focused on empowering people with disabilities.
