In Stevens Point, Wisconsin, Aspirus Health is highlighting the efforts of its caregivers at the Aspirus Stevens Point Birthing Center during National Women’s Health Week from May 11 to 17. The center emphasizes a commitment to women's health that extends beyond mere service delivery.

Lora Harris, a Lactation Consultant at Aspirus, plays a significant role in this mission. She stated, “When a baby is born, there are so many emotions and changes. It’s essential to support each part of that experience." Harris emphasized the team's experience and compassion: "Our team is highly experienced, deeply compassionate, and genuinely excited to care for every patient who walks through our doors.”

Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital provides comprehensive prenatal and postnatal services aimed at empowering mothers-to-be. These services include educational classes, postpartum support, and Pregnancy Expos designed to connect expecting families with local resources and expert guidance.

Harris explained their collaborative approach: “We also work closely with public health nurses and connect families with the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program, so they have continued support even after they leave our care.” She reiterated the community's dedication by saying, “We’re a passionate, caring community that truly celebrates every new life—and the strong women behind it.”
