Aspirus Health and Three Bridges Recovery have joined forces to tackle substance use recovery in Central Wisconsin. The partnership combines medical expertise with community-driven advocacy to provide immediate support and long-term care pathways for individuals facing substance use challenges.

Hope Bristow, a registered nurse at Aspirus Health, emphasized the collaboration's impact. "Our staff has always been dedicated to providing patient-centered care," she said. "But through our partnership with Three Bridges, we’ve been able to extend that care beyond the hospital walls, meeting people where they are and offering real hope for recovery."

Three Bridges Recovery offers services such as peer mentoring, recovery coaching, and community workshops at no cost. Recovery Coach Brittney Brock highlighted their mission: "Our mission is to empower individuals by showing them that recovery isn’t just possible, it’s attainable," she stated. "Through compassionate peer support and evidence-based practices, we’re helping people reclaim their lives."

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) reports that only 10 percent of those struggling with substance use disorders receive treatment. This partnership aims to improve access to recovery resources in underserved areas.

Brock explained the importance of their 24/7 peer support coaches: "Having an advocate during a moment of crisis can make all the difference," she noted. "It increases the likelihood that individuals will engage in recovery efforts and stay on that path."

The initiative focuses on creating a judgment-free space for individuals seeking help. Bristow remarked on its broader impact: "Recovery is deeply personal and often requires support in multiple areas—physical, emotional, and social," she said. "The work we’re doing with Three Bridges not only empowers individuals but also strengthens families and communities as a whole."
