Derek Blanchard promoted to VP Business Banker at First State Bank

First State Bank has announced the promotion of Derek Blanchard to Vice President, Business Banker. Previously a Senior Credit Analyst, Blanchard brings his experience in credit analysis and customer-focused financial strategy to this new role.

Blanchard joined First State Bank in 2022 and has been instrumental in evaluating credit risk and supporting lending initiatives through financial analysis. In his new position, he will work directly with local businesses, offering services such as commercial lending, cash management, and strategic financial planning.

“Derek has a keen understanding of the financial challenges and opportunities our clients face,” said Jason Wery, EVP, Chief Banking Officer at First State Bank. “We are excited to see him step into this new role and deliver exceptional, relationship-based service to the businesses that drive our community’s economy.”

Blanchard resides in Marshfield with his wife Nicole and their four sons: Dominick (14), Deacon (12), Dax (5), and Damon (2). He enjoys golfing and coaching track and field at Marshfield Middle School. Additionally, he is the head coach of Hub City Track Club in Marshfield.

First State Bank is a $536 million community bank with offices across various locations including New London, Auburndale, Clintonville, Manawa, Marshfield, Stevens Point, Waupaca, and Wisconsin Rapids.
