Two contrasting personalities sharing an apartment will take center stage in the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point at Marshfield’s production of Neil Simon’s “The Odd Couple (Female Version).” The play will be performed by the Campus Community Players from November 6 to November 9 at the Helen Connor Laird Theatre.

Performances are scheduled for Thursday, November 6 through Saturday, November 8 at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee on Sunday, November 9 at 2 p.m. Tickets are priced at $20 and can be purchased online or at the box office before each show.

Set in New York during the 1980s, the story follows Olive Madison and Florence Unger—portrayed by Roxie Wetterau and Morgan Kieffer—as they navigate life together after circumstances force them to share an apartment. Their differing personalities lead to both conflict and comedic situations. They are joined by four friends—Renee (Tracy Olson), Sylvie (Alanna Feddick-Goodwin), Mickey (Lisa Frey), and Vera (Rachel Fuehrer)—for weekly Trivial Pursuit games. The plot also introduces two Spanish brothers living in their building, Manolo (Joe Anderson) and Jesus Costazuela (Jason Bravener).

Donna Thompson directs the production. A native of Marshfield, Thompson has led several productions through UWSP’s Continuing Education program, including “Godspell” earlier this year and “Fiddler on the Roof, Jr.” in August.

Funding for this production comes from the Laird Endowment Fund for the Arts. The show is recommended for adults and older children.
