Gundersen Moundview Memorial Hospital & Clinics issued the following announcement on Sept. 16
Gundersen Health System is ready to provide third doses of COVID-19 vaccine to eligible people, pending specific guidance from the federal government on vaccine third dose eligibility by age, occupation, and other factors. This is the next big step in the system’s effort to care for and protect the community during the pandemic.
Currently, Gundersen is offering third doses of the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccine for immunocompromised people. Gundersen is not offering additional doses of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine. Read more
Gundersen is anticipating more guidance from an FDA committee that meets September 17 to discuss Pfizer’s application to provide third doses of its COVID-19 vaccine to more Americans
As soon as the federal government approves third doses for more people and provides guidance on eligibility, Gundersen will offer them to eligible patients and non-patients at all vaccine locations system-wide. This will include a new location on the Gundersen La Crosse Campus. More information will be shared once third doses receive government approval.
