City of Monroe issued the following announcement on March 16.
Completing Your Absentee Ballot
Please follow the instructions provided to complete your absentee ballot and certification envelope.
Remember to sign the outside of the envelope and have your witness sign and provide their address.
Returning Absentee Ballot
The absentee ballot MUST be returned to the Clerk or District that it was issued from.
An absentee ballot issued from the City of Monroe can be returned using one of the following methods:
****Please note procedures for returning an absentee ballot have changed since the last election. These changes are identified by .
- Mail it - The envelope has the Clerk's office address and the correct postage. Must be received by election day.
- Bring it in - You can choose to deliver your ballot to the Clerk's Office. Must be delivered by 8:00 PM on election day. Each individual must return their OWN ballot and have a valid photo ID to be accepted. We can only accept a returned absentee ballot/envelope that is being returned by the absentee voter themselves.
- Take it to the Polls - Must be delivered by 8:00 pm on election day to your polling location. Each individual must return their OWN ballot and have a valid photo ID to be accepted. We can only accept a returned absentee ballot/envelope that is being returned by the absentee voter themselves.
