Annual cultural fair returns to UWSP at Marshfield on February 22

The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point at Marshfield is set to host the annual Marshfield Cultural Fair on Saturday, February 22. This event, a community tradition for over twenty years, will feature exhibits, crafts, food, and entertainment from various cultures around the world.

The fair will take place across the campus from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with performances scheduled in both the Upper Commons and Helen Connor Laird Theatre. Attendees can look forward to acts by Music Magic, Main Street Conservatory of Dance – Marshfield, Wisconsin Country Style Dancers, Steel Drums with Kent Arnsbarger, Salsa Manzana, AaroChele and Indian Bollywood Dances.

Exhibitors at the fair include the City of Marshfield Historic Preservation Commission, Marshfield Broadcasting, Needlepoint Hmong Motif, Polish Heritage Awareness Society and Tanya Creations. Food offerings will be provided by vendors such as Jamaican Kitchens, GT’s Hawaiian BBQ, Nagoya Japanese Sushi and Steakhouse, Kat’s Sweet Escape and Hungry Hub.

Children attending the fair can participate in a passport activity along with puppet shows and craft sessions.

“UWSP at Marshfield looks forward to hosting this event," said Tony Andrews, UWSP at Marshfield campus executive. "Celebrating our community’s rich diversity and continuing a long-held tradition.”

The event is sponsored by UWSP at Marshfield alongside partners like Marshfield Clinic Health System, Marshfield Area Community Foundation, Umhoefer Foundation, Marshfield Broadcasting and Simplicity Credit Union.
