The Chippewa Falls Planning Commission has approved a conditional use permit for Aspirus Health to construct a new hospital in Chippewa Falls. This decision follows a public hearing held on Monday and represents an important step in addressing the healthcare needs of the community.
Aspirus Health announced its plans in November to fill healthcare gaps that have appeared due to recent closures of hospitals and health services in the area. The new facility aims to provide essential emergency care, inpatient hospital services, and primary care. Aspirus plans for the hospital to be operational within 18 months after receiving all necessary approvals.
The next phase involves finalizing the land purchase agreement and obtaining developer agreement approval from the City Council, expected in the coming weeks. Aspirus is currently negotiating these agreements to ensure progress continues smoothly.
"Aspirus is committed to creating a progressive, sustainable facility," states Aspirus Health, emphasizing their dedication to improving healthcare access in Chippewa Falls through collaboration with local officials.
