Aspirus has completed the purchase of a 22.1-acre site in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, with plans to commence construction of a new hospital this spring. The hospital will be situated on Chippewa Crossing Boulevard, opposite Fire Station No. 1, and aims to address health care gaps in the area.

Sid Sczygelski, Senior Vice President of Special Projects for Aspirus Health, emphasized the alignment of the project with their mission to deliver essential health services to the community. "This project aligns with our mission to provide much-needed health care services to the community," he stated. He also expressed confidence in Aspirus' ability to serve Chippewa Falls and its surroundings effectively due to their experience in rural and small-city health care.

The first phase of construction will include a facility approximately 27,000 square feet in size, featuring an emergency department with 10 treatment rooms and 10 inpatient beds. An on-site clinic will offer imaging services such as X-ray and CT scans, laboratory services, and dietary options. A helipad is also planned for emergency transport needs.

Site preparation for construction will involve adding new roads for better access to the hospital campus. Aspirus has partnered with REI for civil engineering and HGA for architectural planning. The goal is to complete construction and open the facility within 18 months or less.

Sczygelski reaffirmed Aspirus' commitment: "We are committed to meeting the health care needs of Chippewa Falls residents and providing essential services now and in the future."
