The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP) has recognized several students and programs for their achievements in recent months. The student-run radio station, WWSP-90fm, received 10 awards from the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association (WBA) in February 2025. These accolades were part of an annual seminar that connects high school and college broadcast organizations with industry professionals.

WWSP-90fm was acknowledged in various categories, including Best Feature Story, Best Public Affairs/Talk Show, and Best Sports Play-by-Play. Station Manager Derek Tritz earned six awards across three categories. Other recognized contributors included Sports Director Liam Statz, Technical Director Owen Bessey, Public Relations and Outreach Director Montanna Heinz, and volunteer Brian Larson.

"The Continental Divide," published by UW-Stevens Point’s Cornerstone Press in February 2025, received a positive review in the New York Times Book Review. This marks the first time a title from the student-staffed literary press has been reviewed by the publication.

Additionally, the UWSP Opera Workshop was named a National Finalist for the 2024 American Prize in Opera Performance—college/university division. They tied for third place nationally and were also finalists for The 2024 American Prize Ernst Bacon Memorial Award for Performance of American Music.

Alex Suscha, a sophomore majoring in business administration and management, won first place at the 2024 Accelerate Sheboygan County Pitch Competition with his business venture Sourcer AI.

Emma Politoski, a Master of Business Administration graduate student at UWSP, received the Undergraduate Student of the Year award. This accolade is presented to an undergraduate who demonstrates dedication to their campus community and exemplifies core values within Region V's member institutions.
