The Stevens Point Area YMCA is organizing its Annual Healthy Kids Day event on April 26th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This is a complimentary event that aims to promote a healthy lifestyle for children and families as summer approaches.
Endorsed at a national level by Peanuts, Healthy Kids Day is designed to ensure families in Stevens Point have a summer that is safe, healthy, and enjoyable. Activities available during the event will include an open swim in the Adventure Pool, large inflatables for play, and family bingo with prizes.
“It is so important for kids to stay active over the summer, both physically and mentally,” said Amy Fox, Health & Wellness Director of the Stevens Point Area YMCA. “At the Y, we believe in providing resources for families to create healthy habits, no matter the time of year. Healthy Kids Day is a fun, free community-wide event that encourages families to take advantage of all the great summer activities the Y has to offer.”
On a local level, the event is sponsored by Skyward, CoVantage Credit Union, PSOL, Aspirus, AIG, Ascendance Truck Center, Auto Select of Stevens Point, Kahler Slater, Miron Construction, Spectrum Insurance, and Dahl Automotive.
