A collection of student work is now showcased at the Edna Carlsten Gallery at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, as part of the 2025 Student Juried Show. The exhibition, which is curated by Wisconsin artists Brad Killam and Michelle Grabner, is open from April 17 to May 3. The public is invited to attend the live jurying and awards reception scheduled for April 24, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The gallery can be found on the second floor of the Noel Fine Arts Center and is free to enter.
Gallery visiting hours are set between noon and 6 p.m. from Tuesday to Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. The exhibition features 43 works by students from various fields, including art, graphic design, interior architecture, media studies, and professional communication. Some students will be recognized for their exceptional work with cash prizes.
Michelle Grabner is notable for being a Guggenheim Fellow and the Crown Family Professor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Brad Killam serves as a professor at the College of DuPage. The two have been collaborating in the fields of artwork, curating, and publishing since the 1990s, and their collaborative works in sculpture, film, and video have been featured across the United States.
The Edna Carlsten Art Gallery is dedicated to showcasing a diverse range of artworks from local, national, and international artists. It hosts community events and manages a permanent collection of fine art and design works. The Schneider Gallery, located within the Carlsten Gallery, focuses on displaying student works, offering students a practical experience within a gallery setting.
