The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is set to host the play "Love’s Labor’s Won," a Shakespearean comedy adapted by Scott Kaiser. The performances will take place in the Noel Fine Arts Center's Studio Theatre located at 1800 Portage Street, Stevens Point. Show dates are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on May 2, 3, and from May 8 to 10, with an additional matinee at 2 p.m. on May 4.

Ticket prices are $27 for adults, $24 for seniors and UWSP staff, while youth tickets are $16. Purchases can be made online at tickets.uwsp.edu, via phone at 715-346-4100, or at the Information and Tickets Office in the Dreyfus University Center.

Scott Kaiser's play, a sequel to "Love’s Labor’s Lost" by William Shakespeare, explores the reunion of four couples after four years apart due to a war triggered by the French King’s sudden death. Director and Assistant Professor Dana Dancho, making her directorial debut at UWSP, shared her enthusiasm: “This is my directorial debut at UWSP,” she noted, describing the production as "especially exciting and meaningful."

Dana Dancho, who met Scott Kaiser during her training at The Theatre School at DePaul University, was inspired to bring this production to life. The staging will capture the World War 1 era through its costume and set design, complemented by an original score from Professor Matthew Buchman. Dancho encourages audiences to attend, saying, “Being a Shakespeare aficionado is not a requirement to seeing the production, and I truly hope audiences enjoy it.”
