This summer, the Portage County Historical Society is organizing the Music at the Mill Concert Series at the Rising Star Mill in Nelsonville, Wisconsin. The series will feature live performances by regional musicians in a historic 19th-century setting. Proceeds from these events will aid in preserving the mill and supporting educational activities conducted by the society.
The concert lineup includes Shawndell Marks on June 25, Jeff Massey on July 15, Rucksack Revolution on August 20, and Ben Majeska on September 17. Each performance begins at 6:30 PM and offers a unique musical experience.
Tickets are available for purchase with different pricing tiers for members and non-members. Seating is limited, so advance ticket purchases are recommended. All concerts are family-friendly.
John Harry, Executive Director of the Portage County Historical Society, stated, “The Rising Star Mill offers historic charm that you just can’t find anywhere else.” He added that these concerts help bring outstanding musicians to the community while preserving an important historical site.
