The Stevens Point Area YMCA is inviting the community to participate in My Y Week, a five-day event from June 23-27. This week aims to highlight the YMCA's nonprofit mission and provide opportunities for people of all ages to engage with the organization. As part of this initiative, free trial memberships are available through June 30, allowing new visitors to explore the YMCA's facilities and select programs without charge.

Throughout My Y Week, unique fundraising activities will be held daily in support of the YMCA’s core areas: Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility. Events will take place in the Stevens Point Area YMCA lobby from 8:00-11:00 AM and 3:00-6:00 PM each day.

Among the week's highlights is The Great Pie Off on Monday, where donations can lead to YMCA staff members getting a pie in the face. On Wednesday, participants can join Treadmill Time-Out, aiming to "free" a staff member from walking on a treadmill by reaching a donation goal. The week concludes with Stevie Pointer’s Rooftop Rescue on Friday, June 27. During this event, UW-Stevens Point’s mascot will be "stuck" on the roof until sufficient funds are raised for his return. Stevie will appear from 9:30-10:00 AM and 10:30-11:00 AM.

“This week is about more than just fun — it’s about celebrating the Y and the people who make our work possible,” said Ryan Zietlow, CEO and President of the Stevens Point Area YMCA. “As a nonprofit, we rely on the generosity of our community to do what we do. My Y Week is a chance to say thank you and show just how impactful giving back can be — all while having a great time.”

Updates and details about events will be shared via the YMCA’s social media channels throughout the week. All proceeds will benefit programs that encourage youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility in Stevens Point.
