Central Wisconsin Christian School issued the following announcement on Sept. 18
In the history of every organization there are many who contribute to establishing, maintaining, and visioning. Founders have a dream, analysts seek insight, servants work tirelessly, visionaries see and strategize for a future, and builders...they build.
Dewey Westra was a builder for Central Wisconsin Christian. Not just a builder of buildings, although for six decades a Westra contracting company has led projects for our school at the McKinley Campus and our unified Fox Lake Road Campus. Dewey's legacy extends as an impactful leader in the Board Room as well, driving a policy framework into operations, construction planning, personnel management and more. He had a love for the school, for the church, and for God's Kingdom on a broad scope that he shared with anyone who knew him.
Today the Westra family will gather to remember a father, grandpa, great grandpa, and friend and his legacy as a builder - but not just of buildings. We are thankful for His Kingdom legacy, and celebrate the promises of eternal life!
